All our product can be installed and networked from a school's central computer (server) that can be accessed by all computers in the school.
A shortcut (alias) needs to be put onto every computer on the network that needs access to the software.
Our product can sustain multiple simultaneous users on the same school network.
Data is stored on the central computer (server).
Our product is not designed to forward the data collected at each school into a centralized computer for the whole district.
When networking our product, everything only needs to be installed once on one central computer (server).
Once networked, content and data is stored on the school's central computer (server).
All content and data can be accessed from all computers on the school network.
With some activities (eg Snappy Slide Show, Newspaper Front Page, Read and Record, Squawk the Plank) work can be saved and shared over the school network.
Results from the following activities can be printed:
Newspaper Front Page, Squawk the Plank, Spelling Game, Word Detective, Sentence Sizzler, Word Train, Whizzy Quiz, Silly Story Maker, Readermeter, Great Word Game, Book Cover Maker
AWARD Assessment
Assessment must be installed on the school's central computer (server) and is designed to collate students' results and progress. CDs are installed to build up all assessment levels. If a customer has bought the complete set of AWARD (Grades K, 1, 2, 3), there are a total of 7 Assessment CD-ROMs and they build up within one folder on the network server when installed as follows:
A shortcut (alias) needs to be put onto every computer on the network that needs access to the software. Teachers set up their own user account to create classes and can add and delete students and print out results and progress. An Administrator gets full (password protected) access to all data.
If the server is using a shared folder to network from, you must copy the shortcut or aliases from within the folders that have been installed, not from the shortcut or aliases that are automatically generated on the desktop.
