Lettergetter Online extends AWARD Reading beyond your classroom walls.
Classes share their reading, writing, artwork, and experiences with similar classrooms around the world through real email communication with Lettergetter.
Lettergetter Online supports and extends the learning from specific texts in the AWARD program.
Lettergetter Online integrates 21st-century web-based technology seamlessly into your literacy program.
Lettergetter Online is 100% interactive whiteboard friendly.
How it works
Lettergetter sends an email message to your class introducing himself and encouraging questions from the children.
When classrooms respond to Lettergetter by email Lettergetter always responds with personalised and entertaining replies designed to promote learning and continued dialogue.
Teachers use Lettergetter’s messages, and the replies to them, as shared reading and shared writing activities.
If teachers prefer, they can have Lettergetter emails sent to them in interactive whiteboard format (SmartBoard, Promethean, or Mimio) for easier sharing.
Sometimes artwork, writing, photos etc sent by children may be shared with other classrooms via Lettergetter’s web site, but never without the teacher’s permission.
